5-Star Theatricals is pleased to bring The Sound of Music to Thousand Oaks, July 19th to 28th. Auditions for this musical are now open! Read below for open roles, important dates, rehearsal schedule, and more.

 Audition Information

  • You can submit yourself for THE SOUND OF MUSIC casting consideration in any of the following ways:

    1. You can submit to the breakdown on Actors Access.

    2. You can attend the in-person open call on 5/8. This notice with all specifics should be posted soon and can be found on Backstage, Playbill, Broadway World, or the Actor's Equity website (if you are a member).

OPEN CALL NOTE: If you are a member of the Actor's Equity Association, you can sign up for an open call appointment slot through the Actor's Equity website. If you are NOT a member of the Actor's Equity Association, you simply show up to the open call, put your name on a list, and will then likely have a wait until you can be squeezed in.

NOTE: we cannot guarantee everybody will be seen at the open call, so option 3 below may be your best bet to guarantee casting consideration. Just a friendly reminder that we NEED lots of NON-EQUITY performers for this show (only 3 Equity contracts for the entire cast)
