LES MISÉRABLES 5-Star Theatricals SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
You can submit yourself for LES MISÉRABLES casting consideration in any of the following ways:
You can submit to the breakdown on Actors Access (or on Breakdown Services, if you have representation).
You can attend the in-person open call (EPA/ECC) for SINGERS on Wednesday, 7/29. This notice with all specifics can be found on Backstage, Playbill, Broadway World, or the Actor's Equity website (if you are a member).
OPEN CALL NOTES: If you are a member of the Actor's Equity Association, you can sign up for an open call appointment slot through the Actor's Equity website. If you are NOT a member of the Actor's Equity Association, you simply show up to the open call, put your name on a list, and will then likely have a wait until you can be squeezed in. NOTE: we cannot guarantee everybody will be seen at the open call, so option 3 below may be your best bet to guarantee casting consideration. Just a friendly reminder that we need NON-EQUITY performers for this production (there are only a handful of Equity contracts available for the entire cast)
You can email our Casting Directors - Richie Ferris and Michael Donovan - a self-taped audition at casting@5startheatricals.com and include the following:
Headshot
Resume
A short clip of you singing (something appropriate to the style of the show; singing from the show is welcomed and encouraged but not required). Please sing to a track or to live accompaniment (not a cappella).
Slate: Please include a slate with the following:
Name
Height
Equity Status (are you AEA or NON-AEA)
Confirmation that you are based in the Los Angeles/Thousand Oaks area or are able to be a local hire.
Age (ONLY if you are auditioning for the roles of Gavroche, Young Cosette or Young Eponine)
NOTE: Please send in a downloadable format (Dropbox, Google Drive or Vimeo are preferred...WeTransfer is less ideal but still works...please do NOT send a Youtube link)
Make sure the permissions are OPEN on the link you're sending. If you only grant access via the 5-Star email address, we won't be able to open it.
WeTrasfer links expire (sometimes before we get around to watching them), which is why we prefer you use a different method.
